|

The surcharge is applicable to all 2-way ferry tickets for both adult & child commuters for ferries plying to all destinations, independent of the ferry ticket fare. 1-way tickets will incur a surcharge of $7.00.

Although international oil prices have reduced significantly in recent times, the indirect cost implication of the fuel hike over the past years still continues to impact us greatly.
This reduction in surcharge is in line with the company’s policy of charging fair value for our services given.
We shall continue to monitor the situation closely.
Thank you for your continued support.

| Reclassification of Fuel Surcharge to “Surcharge” |
24th October 2008 |
|
 |
A massive escalation in the price of fuel & other costs over the past 2 years has resulted in very significant increases in our cost of operations.
Besides the direct cost of fuel to us, spare parts, maintenance contracts, lubricating oil, crew, insurance, shipping costs & labour costs, among others, have also continually increased without ease.
Our company introduced a lagging fuel surcharge to help alleviate the very high costs of operations. This surcharge was intended to ensure that service levels did not fall victim to the increased cost of operations. To not implement such a surcharge would have been irresponsible of us as a transport operator. We are obligated to maintain our standard of safety, security & comfort, without excuse.
Although international fuel prices have recently fallen to a level similar to that experienced at the end of 2007, we have yet to witness an overall reduction in operational costs that would justify a reduction in the current surcharge.
Therefore, with immediate effect, the previously termed “fuel surcharge” shall now be referred as a “surcharge” so as to better represent the underlying purpose.
Please be assured that we are monitoring the situation & it is our intention to always maintain fair & appropriate pricing for the services we provide.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding in these difficult economic conditions. |

| Notification of Fuel Surcharge applicable on All Ports |
1 June 2008 |
|
 |
|
Due to the recent escalation in the price of fuel, we shall amend our
existing Fuel Surcharges for all sectors to / from Singapore.
Effective from 1st June 2008, a new Fuel Surcharge of S$7.50 per oneway
sector shall be chargeable for all Batam sectors. The new Fuel
Surcharge is independent of the ferry ticket price.
Please note the following:
1. All new issue 1-way ferry tickets shall have Fuel Surcharge of
S$7.50 included into the ticket price.
2. 2-way ferry ticket will normally have the full Fuel Surcharge of
S$15.00 ($7.50 per one-way sector) included into the ticket price
(unless indicated otherwise).
3. For all presold tickets, the difference between the fuel surcharge
already paid and the new fuel surcharge will need to be paid at the
point of departure. Tickets without fuel surcharge will be required
to pay the full new Fuel Surcharge.
This limited adjustment will allow us to maintain current service levels
in the face of continued, rising fuel costs worldwide. We will continue
to monitor the price of fuel and keep the application of the fuel
surcharge under active review.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding in these
difficult economic conditions. |
